International Business Student to Chocolatier
Eric Torres-Garcia, creator of Cocoa Bombs, is an international business graduate, class of ’18. Through the Department of Management program, Eric learned accounting, marketing and all the general things you need to start a business. And, it was entrepreneurship professor Kent Neupert whom he turned to for help when he had 1000 orders for Cocoa Bombs having only ever made just one. Neupert guided Eric to getting an attorney, filing for a trademark and registering the company. He has a 6,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Blackfoot, Idaho, and sells Cocoa Bombs worldwide! Read Eric’s amazing story. This video is available with closed captions and a video transcript.
“I owe Dr. Neupert a lot, and Boise State…. None of this would have been possible had I not been at Boise State,” Torres-Garcia said.
AACSB-Accredited since 1979
The College of Business and Economics (COBE) at Boise State University is one of the few business schools in the world that has achieved AACSB accreditation for our business school and our accountancy program. We are among the less than five percent of business schools worldwide to earn AACSB accreditation.
