Teagen Nabity-Grover joined Boise State University in 2020 after completing her Ph.D. at the University of Alabama. Her research focuses predominantly on online self-disclosure — the communication of personal information to others via the Internet. She’s interested in studying the mental health benefits of online self-disclosure, as well as the effects of negative online encounters — such as cyberbullying and social engineering attacks. Teagen also researches corporate use of social media and information systems education. Teagen is an alumnae of the PhD Project’s Information Systems Doctoral Student Association and was a McNair Fellow at the University of Alabama. Her teaching interests include database, data analytics and visualization, and business intelligence.
