[Title: Boise State University, Advice to Future Students]
[Eric Hicks, Ph.D. Executive MBA Faculty] My advice to people coming into the program is first just to know that you can do it, that your life experiences your work experiences will be relevant to the work that you do and help you succeed as a student.
[Carolyn Hennen, EMBA ’16] Well first I asked the question do you just want a piece of paper or do you really want to learn something. That’s why I chose the Executive MBA program because I really wanted to learn. I wanted to know what’s going help me in the real world and that’s what this program does.
[Brent Irving, EMBA ’16] My advice for a potential Executive MBA student is look at how competitive the market place is getting out there and if you don’t feel like you have the right tools today you got to do things to better yourself because the competition, the human capital out there continues to get better and you’ve got to be able to survive and thrive in a competitive marketplace.
[Eric Hicks, Ph.D. Executive MBA Faculty] People come into this program from all walks of life so you don’t have to have a particular background to be successful just bring the experiences you have and put them to use with your colleagues and you’ll be successful at what you are doing.
