Application Process

Our VIP service starts even before you enter the program. You do not need to apply to the Graduate College or keep track of your application progress. We are your one-stop-shop for any and all of your questions across campus.

  1. Submit a completed application package directly to EMBA
  2. Schedule an admissions interview
  3. EMBA Admissions Committee review’s candidate
  4. Program notifies admittance

Detailed information on each admissions process is described below. You must complete each step in order to move onto the next process.

1. Application Package

Preparing and submitting your application package is the first step in applying to the program. Make sure to review the application deadline schedule.

How to submit your application

You do not have to submit the completed package all at once. You can submit each document separately and we will keep track of your progress. The program will notify you whenever we receive a document and what documents you have remaining.

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts must be sent directly to the Boise State Graduate College, not to the EMBA Program. Follow the How to Submit Official Transcripts page for additional information.

Application Requirements

Below are all the forms and documents you will need to provide to apply to the Executive MBA program.

Recommendation FormThe applicant must have at least 3 recommenders submit recommendations using the form provided. Make sure to fill out the top portion before sending the form to your recommender.

We will notify you whenever we receive a recommendation.

Company Sponsor LetterA letter from your employer indicating the company’s support of the time commitment. It can also optionally include your company’s financial commitment.

The company can write their own letter or use the template provided.

Official TranscriptsProvide ALL official transcripts from undergraduate and graduate institutions whether or not a degree was granted (does not include certifications).

Follow the How to Submit Official Transcript page. Transcripts must be sent directly from the institution / clearing house to be considered official transcripts.

If you graduated with a degree from Boise State, you do not have to provide Boise State official transcripts. Please indicate on the EMBA application the years attended and degree earned.

If you attended Boise State and did not get a degree, you do not have to provide transcripts from Boise State. Please indicate on the EMBA application the years attended. You will still need to submit official transcripts from the institution you received your degree.

2. Admissions Interview

After the applicant has submitted their application package, the Program Manager will reach out to the applicant to schedule an Admissions Interview.

3. Admission Committee Review

The EMBA Admissions Committee will review the applicant’s file and interview comments and make the final decision.

4. Program Admittance Notification

The Executive MBA program will notify the applicant within 2-3 weeks of their admissions interview of their admittance.
