Maurice MacDonald joined Boise State in 2022 and is a Kansas State University Emeritus Professor of Personal Financial Planning. He co-teaches the Economics 401 and 402 capstone sequence for seniors who write empirical research papers, and Economics 202 Micro-economics online. His scholarship in family economics spans from measures of personal and family economic well-being and income adequacy, to intergenerational wealth transfer, to the economic status of children, college students and the oldest old. MacDonald has received research grants from the Social Security Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, the National Institute of Child Health and Development, the National Institute of Mental Health and the National Institute on Aging.
