Following is more information on tuition and fees for in-state, out-of-state and international students.

Tuition and Fees

CTMBA tuition is set by the university each year. Fees are subject to change each year – please see the full-time (9-16 credits) graduate program University Tuition and Fees page for complete and up-to-date information.

Graduating CTMBA students

The Career Track MBA program is a total of four semesters (two academic years – fall / spring) plus three credits of a required internship in the summer between year one and year two.

Tuition is always due the Saturday prior to each semester start. Here is how to make a payment. Payment plans are also available.

The costs below are based on the most recent 2024-2025 Academic Year.

Idaho Residency: In-State v. Out-of-State Tuition

For Idaho residency questions please see the Registrar’s Idaho Residency page.

Idaho Residency for in-state tuition:

  • You may qualify for resident (in-state) tuition if you are a student who has earned a baccalaureate degree from an Idaho institution of higher education, physically resided in Idaho for the final 12 months of undergraduate studies, and enrolled no later than 36 months after receiving a baccalaureate degree from the undergraduate institution.
  • Apply early to receive the GEM scholarship which waives the non-resident tuition. Visit the Scholarships and Funding page to view more details on the GEM Scholarship and what is required to apply.
  • Our program is part of the Western Regional Graduate Program which allows students in 15 states to be eligible for in-state tuition. Visit the WICHE website to see which states are eligible.

Books and Course Materials

Total tuition cost does not include textbooks. Estimate $2,000-$3,000 total for textbooks (approximately $60 / credit hour). Students are responsible for purchasing their own books in advance of class. Books are designated in advance of the course start. You can view books for each course on the Boise State Bookstore website.
