Top Ten Scholar is one of the highest honors awarded to a Boise State student. Nick Gaudioso, a COBE student was selected for this honor. Gaudioso, from Boise, will graduate from the Honors College with a bachelor of business administration in accountancy and finance. He currently is a research assistant for the Accountancy Department and works with professor Michael Lee to develop cost accounting systems for local companies.
Gaudioso has conducted various research projects at Boise State and co-wrote two articles discussing growth analysis that was featured in the Idaho Statesman. As part of his research, he has worked with PKG Solutions and other companies to improve their costing systems. During his junior year, he had the opportunity to represent Boise State in the KPMG/Seattle University Accounting Competition and in 2011 participated in an Eide Bailly summer leadership program.

Gaudioso also has been active on campus as the vice president, budget director and student funding board officer for ASBSU, and he served on the Boise State Executive Budget Committee, the Student Media Board, the Scholarship Committee, the Bookstore Advisory Board, the Homecoming Committee and the Honors Student Advisory Board. Gaudioso also participated in the Honors Student Association as treasurer and vice president. He is the recipient of many awards, including the Joseph Hutchinson Memorial Scholarship, the Roger Martell Endowment Scholarship and the Don Day Honors Business Scholarship. Gaudioso’s study abroad in San Sebastián, Spain, in the summer of 2012 is representative of his dedication to pursuing new and challenging adventures. Upon graduation, he will continue to expand his knowledge of accounting in graduate school, with a focus on managerial accounting.
