INSPIRE Pre-service Teacher Application Form

The Murdock Charitable Trust’s Partners in Science Program creates an opportunity for secondary science teachers to engage in research experiences in a university lab, with the purpose to revitalize their teaching and help them to appreciate the use of inquiry-based methods in the teaching of science.

Pre-service teachers will work in a lab as part of a research team for two summers and will receive a $5000 stipend per summer.

The Murdock Trust will provide two annual conferences: a four-day August conference for the teachers to support the translation of the research experience into a change in classroom practices, and a two day January conference for both the teachers and their mentors. The Trust will cover the costs of the hotel, food, and other general conference expenses.
