Join the Department of Art, Design and Visual Studies for a Visiting Artist and Scholar Program Lecture with Jeremiah Day.

Day is an artist who uses photography, speech, and body language to investigate political conflicts and what lies behind them. Day studied alongside and collaborates with postmodern dance pioneer Simone Forti, using her improvisational methods as an open-ended, embodied form of questioning.

Day graduated from the Art Department of the University of California, Los Angeles and attended the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam. In 2019-2020, Jeremiah Day gained a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Uniarts Helsinki’s Center for Educational Research and Academic Development in the Arts (CERADA), focused on teaching and facilitation models that emerge from the intersection of dance and visual art.

This event is supported by a College of Arts and Sciences Thriving Communities Grant.
