What is an Intercultural Living Library? A gathering of students and people from the community who are interested in creating cultural connections and dialogue. The event seeks to promote inclusion and understanding between cultures.
How Does the Living Library Work? Similar to a normal library: visitors are Readers who browse a display board for the available titles, choose the Book they want to read, and ‘check it out’ within a small group setting for a limited time, then are free to choose another Book. The only difference is that in the Living Library, Books are people who want to share about their cultural experience and reading consists of a conversation.
This event is a class project of the COMM 351 Intercultural Communication students.
