“It’s Academic: Great Composers, Great Teachers and Great Students!”
Join maestro Prof. Craig Purdy, the Boise State Concerto Aria Winners and the Boise State Symphony Orchestra in its season-opening concert!
The orchestra performs music by great composers and teachers: Zoltán Kodály’s, Intermezzo from the “Háry János Suite,” Vivaldi’s “Sinfonia in C Major, RV 719,” and Saint-Saëns “Marche héroïque, Op. 34.” Two spring 2023 Concerto Aria Competition winners will be featured. Cera Riveland, cellist, will perform the final movement of Elgar’s “Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85,” and Nathaniel Antimie, pianist, will perform the final movement of Rachmaninoff’s “Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30”
Admission is $10 plus a $3.25Â ticketing fee ($13.25 total). Admission is free for Boise State staff, faculty and students with ID. These free tickets are only available in advance at the Morrison Center box office.
