Curated by Kirsten Furlong

Artists:
Stephen Aifegha
Goran Fazil
Kiana Honarmand
Luma Jasim

This exhibition confronts us with the undeniable realities of our complex world. The artists presented in this exhibition utilize video, painting, and installation to explore themes of war, displacement, political injustices, and the legacies of colonialism. The artworks invite viewers to engage with uncomfortable truths and serve as tools for sparking dialogue, fostering empathy, and igniting a sense of responsibility within us.

Strange Landscapes
Curated by Scott Elk (MFA Visual Arts candidate)

Artists:
Lily Luna Bennett
Sally Browne
Artemisia Cornett
Mitch Davis
Scott Elk
Lee Emmert
Miles B. Jordan
Jeremy Smith

This is a survey exhibition of artists from art institutions across America and Australia exploring landscapes and environments. These artists utilize the artmaking process as a search for connection and a form of world-building that can provide comfort when feeling out of place, alone in unfamiliar landscapes, or surrounded by people with divergent ideological beliefs.

The Stein Luminary will display photographic installations by Miles Jordan and Lee Emmert in the Blue Galleries from August 20 to 30 and, upon request, throughout the duration of the show.
