Arts and Sciences Passports
Starting in Spring 2025, Boise State students can earn course credit for attending events on campus and in our community. Attend an event once every two weeks, write a reflection based on your experience and get credit towards your degree.
There are four Passport courses available to students of any major:
- Arts Passport
- Culture and Ideas Passport
- Environment Passport
- Explore Passport
Arts Passport
Attend art events like music performances, galleries, exhibitions and film showings on campus and in the Boise community.
Explore the Boise art and culture scene with our community partners, including Treefort Music Hall, Shrine Social Club, the Boise Philharmonic, Boise Contemporary Theater and more.
Culture & Ideas Passport
This immersive course invites students to explore the dynamic intersection of ideas and culture within our university and its surrounding community.
Through active participation in campus events, local cultural festivals, and community discussions, students will engage with diverse perspectives and enrich their understanding of social, historical and artistic contexts.
Environment Passport
The Environment Passport lets you explore Idaho’s rich environmental and conservationist tradition.
Check out events from community and faculty partnerships for credit, including the City of Boise, Intermountain Bird Observatory, Peregrine Fund, Idaho Fish and Game, Forest Service, Boise Bicycle Project and more.

This interdisciplinary course provides opportunities for students to explore a range of campus and community events in the College of Arts and Sciences.
