Each year, the Gene Harris Jazz Festival is held in honor of the late Gene Harris. This year, the festival takes place April 6th-7th. This popular event brings more than 1500 students to the Boise State University campus each year to perform, listen, learn, and experience the living American art form known as Jazz. A hallmark of the event is school performances in the iconic Morrison Center concert hall and performances on both nights by the Gene Harris Super Band, a legacy ensemble staffed by the same professionals and educators who work with the students throughout the festival.
