Eight Boise State faculty across academic colleges and departments participated in the eighth Aligning Stakeholders and Structures to Enable Research Transformation, or ASSERT, pitch event. Participants shared their research ideas and questions in three-minute presentations to members of the community. The event is a culmination of the cohort’s year-long professional development, celebrating and supporting faculty to facilitate their readiness to conceive transformative research ideas.
ASSERT is led by Institute for Inclusive and Transformational Scholarship Executive Director Donna Llewellyn, and Professors Marie-Anne de Graaf and Kevin Feris. Initiated as a National Science Foundation-funded project, ASSERT is now in full partnership with the Office of the Provost and the Division of Research and Economic Development, with additional support from the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business and Economics, the College of Education, the College of Engineering, the College of Health Sciences, the College of Innovation + Design, the School of Public Service and the Albertsons Library.
