Boise State’s Raptor Research Center (RRC) is proud to announce Julie Heath as its new Interim Director.

The RRC thanks Jim Belthoff for his service. Belthoff led the center for six years, bringing in several grants and projects, broadening collaboration with research partners and overseeing remodeling in the RRC Building.

The RRC, operating with the Department of Biological Sciences, makes use of Boise’s location near the Snake River Birds of Prey Natural Area. It conducts research about birds of prey and their habitats, assists students and researchers, offers student international research experiences, and supports Boise State’s unique Master of Science in Raptor Biology program.

Under Heath’s leadership, the RRC will continue to support graduate and undergraduate student education; be a hub for academic, professional and non-profit collaborations; and be a leader in raptor research and conservation.
