Begins Oct. 17.
This Faculty Learning Community (FLC) is designed for faculty who want to explore integrating service-learning (SL) into their course. Participants will review SL models, try out SL essential practices, develop SL experiences with community partners, and take steps to successfully integrate SL into their course. Pedagogical strategies shared are relevant to many types of Experiential Learning. Faculty can participate in this FLC in person or via online asynchronous modules.
Dates: The in-person FLC will meet every other Tuesday at 1:30-2:45 for six weeks starting Oct. 17, including these dates: Oct. 17, Oct. 31, Nov. 14, Nov. 28, Dec. 12 and Jan. 30. The online modules will launch Oct. 17 and close on Jan. 30.
$300 grant: Educators who participate in all six sessions and submit a SL plan will receive a $300 grant for professional expenses.
