Raymond Krohn recently received a National Endowment for the Humanities fellowship to attend a two-week residential institute in Pennsylvania. Taking place on the campus of Gettysburg College from June 5-18, the seminar will bring together 36 historians of the Civil War Era (1830-1877). By focusing on the nature and content of archives, the attendees will consider “new ways of looking at old documents in an effort to breathe new life into the social and cultural history” of the time period.
