The Undergraduate Research Showcase will take place virtually on Friday, April 22, 2022. Undergraduate students at all levels and all stages of research (from class projects to independent research) are encouraged to present in the virtual poster session. The deadline for students to submit posters for presentation is Friday, April 1, 2022.
In addition to encouraging your Fall 2021 students to present their term projects, we hope that you will make the URS part of your spring 2022 courses. You can encourage student participation in the URS by having them present their course projects or offer credit for students attending the event as audience members (we will have a form for students to fill out for credit).
Additionally, this is the third year that the event will feature a plenary lightning talk session for advanced students to showcase their work. Each faculty member is eligible to nominate one student to deliver a lightning talk.
Nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee with representation from all colleges, and students selected to present will be assisted in preparing for their lightning talk by a faculty coach outside their discipline.
Nominate a student by Friday, Feb. 4, 2022.
