Kimberley Corwin

A paper by Kimberley Corwin, a geosciences graduate student advised by assistant professor Brittany Brand, won the American Geophysical Union’s Outstanding Student Paper Award. She presented her paper, titled “Preparing for Volcanic Hazards: An Examination of Lahar Knowledge, Risk Perception, and Preparedness around Mount Baker and Glacier Peak, WA,” at the AGU Fall Meeting held in December in San Francisco, California.

Corwin began her studies at Boise State in to fall 2013. She successfully defended her thesis on Dec. 2, 2015, and is expected to graduate in May.
