Students can choose to take the certificate in a fully-online format, or in a hybrid format, which blends in-person and online courses. Students can expect to learn how to effectively and responsibly use various AI platforms, and to apply that learning in a variety of contexts.

Hybrid Certificate Program Requirements (7 credits)
Required courses (4 credits)
- LIBR140: AI, Information Literacy, and You (1 credit)
- PHIL123: Philosophy in a Datafied World (3 credits)
Students choose one of the following (3 credits):
- COID 325: Applications of AI (3 credits; online)
- CS 133: Foundations of Data Science (3 credits; in person)
- ITM 370: Generative AI (3 credits; in person)
- NURS 224: Technology & Informatics (2 credits; in person)
- PSYC 343: Cognitive Psychology (3 credits; in person)
- WRITE 304: Writing Persuasively (3 credits; in person)
