MashUp Events
MashUp events, brought to you by the College of Innovation and Design and the College of Arts and Sciences, are a vibrant series of lectures that delve into the theme of “Our Digital Future.” Each event features two short, engaging presentations on topics that have nothing to do with one another. Then, in a question and answer session, audience members are invited to ask questions that connect the two, uncovering the myriad ways in which our lives intersect with the digital realm—be it through digital arborglyphs or online fandoms.
Next Event
This MashUp will feature a short lecture by local electronic musician Gustav Marsden, demonstrating live how electronic music comes together using AI as a creative tool, and master bartender Chris Kotansky from one of Boise’s favorite bars at The Modern. Chris will be talking about the secret to making excellent non-alcoholic cocktails, and lucky audience members will get to sample his work. The audience will then have an opportunity to connect these two topics in a lively Q&A.
