Baby and Me Group

At the Boise State Children’s Center we understand that providing care for an infant can come with lots of questions and often feels isolating. Beyond providing weekday child care and education, the Children’s Center seeks to provide meaningful opportunities for all members of the campus community to build relationships with campus families and access supportive resources.

As part of the effort to support our newest caregivers within the campus community, the Boise State University Children’s Center is offering a free support group to parents and their babies on Fridays this fall and winter. The support group is a great way to meet other families with new infants and for grown ups to have some fun with their babies in a relaxed environment. There is no need to register for this group – caregivers are welcome to join us anytime! If you have questions about this group, please reach out to Sylvia Horning at sylviahorning@boisestate.edu.

Amanda Mills has worked in early childhood education here in the Treasure Valley for over 20 years. She is the Strengthening Families Specialist at IdahoAEYC and works with early childhood professionals, families and family-serving organizations to integrate the Strengthening Families Framework and the Building Blocks of HOPE into practice.
