About Me
I am originally from a small farming town in Southeastern Idaho. I developed a love for science in Junior High, and decided then and there to pursue a degree in Chemistry.
After receiving my B.S in Chemistry in 2011, I attended graduate school where I earned a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry with an emphasis in organometallics. During my graduate work I studied the potential of heterobimetallic complexes to serve as uniquely active electrophilic catalysts for organic synthesis. This research focused on quantifying the catalytic impact of electron-withdrawing metal-metal interactions in early/late transition metal heterobimetallic complexes in allylic amination reactions.
I have been teaching at Boise State since 2019, and have enjoyed every minute of it. I grew up working in a video store, which instilled in me a love of all types of movies. I am an avid reader, and I spend most of my free time playing with and spoiling my many nieces and nephews.Â
