Career Counselor
My journey leading me to Career Services here at Boise State has been full of twists and turns, but I am so glad to be part of this wonderful team; it feels like a long time coming and has reminded me to never settle for anything less than you deserve.
My passion for higher education began in 2011 as an Orientation and Transfer Leader at Azusa Pacific University where I found out how rewarding working in higher education can be. After graduation from Azusa Pacific with my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, I had to figure out what was going to be my next step. In that time of searching, I tried retail management and human resources but neither felt like the perfect fit for me.
Following my intuition, I applied and got accepted to graduate school at California State University, Sacramento in the Counseling program. During grad school, I worked at the Career Center on campus and found that Career Services was a perfect fit for me and all of my interests! I worked there in various roles for two and a half years where I graduated in May 2020. After many months of searching and deciding to leave California, I landed a position here at Boise State! During my time here, I have held two advising positions, but I can finally say I am working in my dream job.
When I’m not working, I spend too much time watching horror movies, reading books, and drinking too much coffee. As well, my partner and pup, Daisy, keep me pretty busy outside and we love exploring everything Idaho has to offer.
Come visit and we can work together on your goals and chat about dogs!
