With seasonal gatherings just around the corner, your students can schedule their annual flu vaccine and COVID-19 booster (or primary vaccination series) to protect themselves and those around them from the spread of illness.
Individuals can get COVID-19 and flu vaccines during the same visit. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone 6 months or older get vaccinated against both viruses. It takes most people about two weeks to develop antibodies after vaccination, so scheduling vaccination appointments as soon as possible will allow you to develop protection ahead of the holidays.
A special pop-up vaccination clinic will be held on campus at Albertsons Library (view on map) on Friday, November 11 (two weeks prior to Thanksgiving). Find details about the vaccination clinic on the university events calendar. Flu vaccinations are also available at University Health Services (visit website) and COVID-19 and flu vaccines are available at the Boise State Vaccination Clinic (visit website).
