Career Services – Spring Professional Development Events

Career Services is here to help your student maximize their college experience and achieve their professional development goals. Encourage your student to participate in these upcoming opportunities to explore job and internship options, as well as get some insight into long-term career options. These events are also a great place to start building a network and meet others in their field of interest.

Our Upcoming Virtual Career Fairs

It doesn’t matter if your student is a first year or about to graduate, networking is never a bad thing. Making connections can help them find experts in their field of interest for informational interviews. Meeting like minded people is also a great way to get a foot in the door for internships and just one great connection can lead to a career after graduation.

For those who attended the In-Person Career Fair on February 10, the virtual options will have some different employers and offer a completely different experience. If your student doesn’t have a laptop or other device that can connect to a virtual meeting, they can always rent one through the Student Union’s free Laptop Checkout Program at the Zone (learn more)

One tip to give your student: bring their resume! Some recruiters conduct same day interviews and having a resume handy is the perfect way to make sure employers remember their name when positions become available.
