Boise State issued a series of BroncoAlert safety messages to our campus community after a caller contacted Boise Police Department around 11:30 p.m. Monday, March 15, and reported hearing gunshots near the west side of campus, though not in or near Jade Hall as initially reported. The alerts cautioned anyone near campus to shelter in place while police investigated.
Our BroncoAlert phone and text-based system allows us to proactively notify you when an emergency is taking place on or near campus. BroncoAlert is only used in critical situations. You may check or change your phone number or other preferences by logging into your myBoiseState account and selecting “BroncoAlert Preferences.”
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the Office of the Dean of Students.
Respectfully,
Christian Wuthrich, Ph.D.
Dean of Students
