Jake Doyle (Ph.D. Student) recently published as first author in the Journal of Clinical Immunology. The manuscript, Farnesol brain transcriptomics in CNS inflammatory demyelination, highlights that Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis (EAE) causes dysregulation of neuronal signaling and maturation as well as a pro-inflammatory RNA profile in brains. EAE is a mouse model of multiple sclerosis. However, treatment with farnesol attenuates immune/inflammation response genes and pathways. Farnesol treatment alters cellular stress response pathways and genome regulation/repair mechanism pathways in EAE Brains. Jake is in Dr. Javier Ochoa-Repáraz’s Lab (Faculty).Â
