Yesterday, our students involved with the BMOL 603 course (Biophysical Instrumentation & Techniques) as part of their Service Learning Project made the trip to Columbia High School in Nampa, ID to give a Teen Science Café. The mission of a Teen Science Café is to connect teens with scientists in a fun, informal, and interactive way. During the high school’s lunch, three groups of our students gave interactive presentations on cholesterol and why it is good and bad for our health. A total of about 20 high school students were in attendance for these presentations.
