Idaho Native Plant Society’s $2000 Scholarship

The Idaho Native Plant Society is now accepting scholarship applications through March 15, 2025 for the Fall 2025 semester.

The Idaho Native Plant Society (https://idahonativeplants.org/) is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to promoting interest in native plants and plant communities, and collecting and sharing information on all phases of the botany of native plants in Idaho. We seek to foster an understanding and appreciation of our native flora and to preserve this rich heritage for future generations. 

To apply, student applicants must:

  • Be enrolled as a full- or part-time graduate or undergraduate student in an accredited Idaho college or university,
  • Plan to register for a minimum of 6 college or university credits in the Fall,
  • Demonstrate an interest in botany, horticulture, forestry, rangeland ecology, agriculture, conservation, science education, or a closely related program and should be pursuing a major in one of these fields.

Students must complete the application package, which includes the scholarship form, a personal statement, and a scholarship-specific letter of recommendation from a faculty member or other mentor. The application is available online: https://idahonativeplants.org/scholarship-news/.
