About The Henry’s Fork Foundation
Established in 1984, the Henry’s Fork Foundation (HFF) uses a science-based, collaborative approach to promote favorable streamflow, good water quality, healthy fish populations, and a positive fishing experience in the Henry’s Fork and South Fork Snake River watersheds.
Position Summary
Field and Laboratory Coordinator. This is a full-time, permanent, benefitted position located in Ashton, Idaho. Starting salary is $43K – 53K, depending on experience.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain HFF’s network of in-situ water quality, streamflow, and weather instruments.
- Collect, process, and analyze water-quality and fisheries data.
- Maintain riparian fence and fish passage facilities.
- Contribute to other organizational needs such as fundraising, education/outreach, and supervising volunteers and interns.
Minimum qualifications:
- Physical ability to work outdoors, including wading in rivers and lifting 50 pounds.
- Ability to work safely and confidently alone or in small groups in adverse field conditions.
- Driver’s license and good driving record.
- Experience with a variety of boats and applications.
- Ability to swim, cross-country ski, and snowmobile.
- CPR and first aid certification within the first six months of employment.
- Ability to use or quickly learn standard software and HFF’s data management protocols.
