Modoc National Forest

The Modoc National Forest in California is looking for students to fill several summer-seasonal and permanent positions in archeology, engineering, forest and range technicians, and fire-fighting. Many of these positions are well-suited for environmentally focused Boise State students interested in federal employment! As well, working seasonal jobs with the Forest Service helps you to transition to permanent positions when you graduate. These are full-time jobs (40 hours a week) and the schedule at the end of the summer is flexible so you can make it back to classes. The pay changes depending on the job. If you are a graduating senior, there are permanent positions as well. All positions are based out of Alturas, California.

If you are interested in either the seasonal or permanent positions, please contact Jared Talley in the Environmental Studies Program at Boise State University (jaredtalley@boisestate.edu) — he will connect you directly with the hiring manager.
