Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area Science Working Group Annual Symposium: October 30, 2017

This symposium will showcase conservation based projects associated with the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area. This is the second symposium of the Birds of Prey NCA Science Working Group.

Symposium theme: Lessons Learned: Synthesizing the best available data for planning, conservation, and restoration of NCA wildlife and habitat

The emphasis of the symposium is outreach and education of the NCA restoration, resources and uses through short project summaries and interactions with local agencies, NGO, private corporations, and the general public. The target audience is current and future conservation and restoration professionals, and citizen scientists.

Topics include: Soils, vegetation, restoration, erosion control, wildfire/fuels, wildlife, policy, cultural resources, technology use, land use management (military, recreation, livestock…), climate, and more.
