Goals

  1.  Graduates of this program will demonstrate the knowledge and skills of a highly qualified, productive, and employable Athletic Trainer.

Program Expenses

Boise State Graduate Student Tuition and Fees (In & Out of State)

Other AT program student expenses:

  • National Athletic Trainers Association Student Membership: $70
  • Healthcare Provider CPR/AED certification (one time): $50
  • Background Check (Certified Background): $65
  • Students are responsible for expenses related to:
  1. Professional Program Fees. Examples include expendable supplies, equipment, calibration, clinical instruction, software licensing: $320/semester (6 semesters)
  2. Transportation to and from off-campus clinical education facilities. Students are expected to drive themselves to distant off-campus clinical rotations as assigned; up to 45 minutes away from campus one-way.  (Approximately $100/year)
  3. Appropriate clothing (casual slacks/shorts and Boise State shirts) for clinical education rotations (Approximately $100/year)
  4. Physical examination, Vaccinations, Titer or other medical expenses for application
  • Athletic Training BOC examination (final semester): $300

Financial Aid:

For out of state students, the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP) allows master’s, graduate certificate, and doctoral students who are residents of WICHE (Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education) member states to enroll in 800+ graduate programs at some 60 public institutions outside of their home state and pay up to 150 percent of resident tuition. The Boise State Masters of Athletic Training degree participates in WICHE.

The Athletic Training program at Boise State has maintained continued accreditation since accreditation for professional programs began in 1982.  The Masters of Athletic Training Program has been awarded a 10 year accreditation cycle- 2027-2028. View accrediting body outcomes
