Starting a Committee
Students at-large and ASBSU members alike may both start new committees to address issues that are important to the Boise State community.
How to Start a Committee
Starting a committee is easy. Just follow these simple steps:
- Identify an issue area that you are passionate about. This might be a critical gap in on-campus services, an opportunity to enhance the student experience, or a complaint you frequently hear from fellow classmates.
- Connect with other students and campus leaders. Generating interest among other students and even faculty is an excellent way to set up your committee for success. You may also find that a group is already working on the problem you want to address.
- Complete the form below to request the creation of your committee. We will review the form promptly and reach out once it’s approved. If we determine there is already a committee addressing that issue, we will redirect you to that committee’s chair.
And that’s it! Stay tuned for communication from members of ASBSU on next steps as your committee takes shape. As the founder of a committee, you are given first privilege of becoming the committee chair and leading its efforts.
