Campaign Finance Information

Overview

In order to ensure fairness, candidates running for election are subject to limits on the amount of money they can spend on their race. All candidates are also required to regularly submit campaign finance reports to the elections committee in order to ensure compliance with limits on spending. Failure to submit accurate campaign finance reports in a timely manner can result in sanctions, up to and including disqualification from office.

Further information about campaign finance can be found in Section V of our Elections Code.

Spending Limits

Candidates for President and Vice President, together as a ticket, have a combined limit of $1000.
