About the Award
Launched in 2025 by a student-led effort, the Academic Freedom Award is intended to recognize and continue to support Boise State University’s culture of academic freedom. In a time of intense debate over the role of higher education, our student body is committed to maintaining spaces where ideas can be exchanged openly, and where everyone is free to honor their own beliefs.
