President Signs Executive Order Transferring Essential Funding to Support Student Organizations

Boise, ID – During a meeting of the Executive Cabinet on February 28th, officers voted on a proposal to amend the ASBSU budget. After the meeting, President Isaac Celedon released the following statement.

“In recent weeks, I have been working closely with the Student Funding Board to monitor our use of funds. It has become clear that, due to the increase in the number of clubs and the amazing activities students are planning, the demand for funding has gone up.”

“To address this gap, last Friday, I laid out to our ASBSU Executive Team a plan to make an emergency transfer of funds. This proposal would infuse an additional $15,000 to the Direct Grant Budget–the account that funds all student organization and club requests for money. That budget is getting low, with only around $8,500 left to support all clubs for the remainder of the semester. Our Executive team voted unanimously to approve the transfer, and today I signed the Executive Order authorizing the transfer.”

“This additional funding will allow more clubs and organizations to continue to engage the campus community and further their academic and professional careers. ASBSU remains committed to ensuring every student has a meaningful and accessible experience while at Boise State.”

“As Always, Go Broncos.”
