As AVPEA, I will continue to uphold and practice a strong ethical standard which has sadly been lacking in ASBSU recently. We have seen flagrant disregard for decorum and good faith participation, and a weaponization of rules and procedure which has badly eroded confidence and engagement in ASBSU. My solid record as AVPEA of adhering to our governing documents and promotion of consensus-building will extend into the next year if I am elected. We in student government need to stop squabbling over internal matters, which has characterized the current year, and instead focus on working to benefit students. Go Broncos!

After only a year in office, I’ve learned that our student government is on track for a complete financial collapse. While students struggle with their housing, mental health, and finances, nearly half a million dollars of student fees are being used by the hostile and self-serving politics that have seeped into ASBSU. As AVPFA, I hope to use my experience as AVP of Student Relations, as an ASBSU Funding Board Officer, and as an engineer to elevate our student organizations, invest in mental health resources, and avert budgetary disaster. Let’s give students our support, not our politics.
