Notice of Constitutional Convention

Boise, ID – With ASBSU officially entering into a process to change its Constitution, student body president Isaac Celedon released the following statement.

“Earlier this semester on Monday, January 27th, the ASBSU Assembly and Academic Senate passed Resolution #3: A Resolution Calling for a Constitutional Convention to Define ASBSU Eligibility. The purpose of this resolution is to open a constitutional convention concerning eligibility for participation and inclusion within the Associated Students. Convention delegates, which are appointed by the ASBSU President, Academic Senate Leader, General Assembly Leader, and Review Board Chief, will convene on Tuesday, February 18th at 3:00pm in the Student Involvement Leadership Center (Student Union Building, above Buster’s Kitchen).”

“Delegates will discuss the proposed amendments presented by the Associate Vice President of Ethics Affairs and Government Relations Officer, Ethan LaHaug, who primarily led this initiative. The goal of the proposed amendments are to expand ASBSU membership to more students at Boise State, ensuring they are included in representation and advocacy efforts within student government.”

“If you are able to attend, I encourage you to do so. If there are any questions on the procedures or for the convention delegates please contact: asbsu@boisestate.edu.”

“As Always, Go Broncos!”

Best regards,
Isaac Celedon
