- Hours: 10-3, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (Other days/times are available by appointment)

Reading Room Rules
We want everyone to have a productive and pleasant experience with their research. Help us achieve that by respecting the following rules.
What is allowed in the reading room
- laptops, paper, and pencils
- cell phones in silent mode
- digital photography is permitted for private study (Staff may restrict photographs based on the physical condition of the materials, copyright law, donor stipulation, or other restrictions. Consult staff for permission to use or publish)
What is not allowed in the reading room
- food and beverages
- bags, backpacks, umbrellas, coats, and other personal items
Help us preserve the archives for long-term use by respecting the following ways of handling materials
- all materials remain in the reading room
- use care when handling items, do not lean, write on, fold, or conduct other actions that may cause damage
- use gloves to handle photographs, negatives, and slides
- have only 1 box/folder on the table to avoid misfiling
- maintain materials in the order presented; notify staff if you discover any material that is out of order, missing, or damaged.
Reproductions
Researchers may request reproductions for personal or public use. Staff may limit reproductions due to donor or legal restrictions, copyright law, condition of the item(s), or quantity.
- Researchers are responsible for complying with copyright law (Title 17 U.S. Code).
- Reproductions are shared via Google Drive unless otherwise requested.
- Requests for athletics photos or videos may require approval from Trademark Licensing and Enforcement, Office of General Counsel.
- Charges may apply; consult archives@boisestate.edu for more information.
Permission to Publish
Permission to publish materials requires staff approval and may be subject to fees. Please send requests to archives@boisestate.edu with an explanation of the project. Use of athletics photos and videos may require permission from Trademark Licensing and Enforcement.
Copyright Notice
Researchers are responsible for abiding by and obtaining any copyright or other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Copyright laws (Title 17, US Code) apply to all scans and copies.
- Scanning may be limited by copyright and digital marks may be added to images.
