In 1994, Boise State University formed a partnership with the National Economics University in Vietnam hoping for the school to begin its own market-oriented MBA program. To accomplish this, Boise State exported some of its College of Business faculty members to teach business classes in English, forming part of the first American-accredited MBA program in Vietnam. Students placed in these classrooms were already professors at NEU seeking to teach in the the prospective MBA program, and many earned internship with business partners in Boise. The program ended in 1998 after the third class of students graduated.
