Distinguished Alumni Awards

Celebrating Dedicated Broncos

Boise State University’s Distinguished Alumni Awards are given annually to individuals who demonstrate the best of Boise State through their personal, professional and community endeavors.

Honorees are recognized at the annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Gala during Homecoming. The nomination deadline for 2025 awardees is April 15, 2025.

Submit a Nomination

Boise State University’s Distinguished Alumni recipients have distinguished themselves because they have modeled how to be extraordinary in the everyday. They work hard, volunteer and give their time, talent, and treasure to their families, businesses, hometowns and communities. They live the Boise State values of caring, citizenship, respect and responsibility. In doing so, they model what it means to be a Boise State alumni and what it truly means to be a Distinguished alumni.

Nominations are accepted on an ongoing basis, with an annual deadline in the spring. The nomination deadline for 2025 awardees is April 15, 2025.

Nominations can be submitted online. Nominees will then be contacted and asked to submit additional materials if they wish to be considered for an award.

Nominees will be evaluated based on one or more of the following criteria:

  • Commitment to Boise State’s mission and values
  • Exceptional, continued leadership
  • Service to society
  • Community involvement
  • Innovative thinking
  • Dedication to Boise State
  • History of giving
