On Saturday, over a thousand Boise State alumni and friends gathered for a beloved campus tradition: the Easter Egg Hunt on The Blue. Held each spring on the university’s iconic blue turf, the event offers Bronco families a special opportunity to celebrate the holiday in a setting that holds meaning for generations of alumni.
The Easter Egg Hunt is an invite-only event hosted by the Boise State University Foundation’s donor relations team. Attendance is an exclusive benefit for members of the President’s Club, Bronco Athletic Association and Alumni Association. This year, children and grandchildren of alumni scoured the field in search of more than 18,000 colorful eggs.

“This is one of our favorite events of the year,” said Margaret Bergen, event organizer and senior director of donor relations. “It’s so much fun to watch families hunt for eggs together on The Blue. The tradition gets bigger and better every year.”
In addition to the egg hunt, guests enjoyed appearances by Buster Bronco and the Easter bunny and a chance to reconnect with fellow alumni. For many, walking onto the field where they once cheered or played was a meaningful reminder of their time at Boise State, now shared with the next generation.
The Easter Egg Hunt on The Blue continues to be one of the Alumni Association’s most anticipated annual events, combining holiday celebration with Bronco pride and community.
