Brie Ellison, a former undergraduate researcher in the Curl Agricultural Health Lab (CAHL), has been chosen for the Top Ten Scholar Award by the Boise State Alumni Association and Boise State Honors College. This prestigious award is one of the highest undergraduate academic honors, and each applicant is rigorously reviewed based on academic breadth of coursework, research, creative works and publications, presentations at professional meetings or conferences, and community and campus service. Ellison, who graduated in May 2023 with Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies (criminal justice, anthropology, psychology) and a minor in creative writing – poetry, was nominated by Dr. Manda V. Hicks, Chair, Department of Communication and Director of Forensics. During her time at Boise State, Ellison received a fellowship with Idaho’s IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE). As a fellow, Ellison participated in research in the CAHL investigating glyphosate exposure among pregnant women.
