[Karter, Film and Television Arts Major]: Packing up for your big move to Boise State. I’m Kater.
I’m a film major from Idaho, and I’m here to help make your packing list simple. So let’s dive in!

[Karter]: If you’re planning to live on campus, check your housing portal for confirmation of your housing assignment.
Once you’ve received those details, you can start planning for your on campus move in! Every bedroom is furnished with all the essentials, a bed, closet, desk, dresser, and a mattress. You want to bring all the fun items that will really make your room feel like home.

[GRAPHIC: ITEMS TO BRING]

[Karter]: Photos of your family and friends, string lights, your favorite bedding, posters,
and even your well-loved stuffed animal can help make your room cozy and yours!
Aside from decorations and personal items; you may also want to bring some things that can help make your life a little easier. If you want to bring small appliances like coffee pods, microwaves, and mini fridges, bring them! But remember, you’ll want to leave behind anything with exposed heating elements and open flames.

[Karter]: Leave your candles, incense, hot plates and air fryers at home. As you’re getting excited to prepare your new space, be mindful of our community standards. And at Boise State, we want everyone to feel welcome and respected in the spaces we call home, together. For a full list of things to bring and what to leave at home. Visit  our website.
