Overview
In April 2024, the United States Department of Justice issued a final rule requiring state and local governmental entities — including public universities — to ensure web or mobile applications, including documents and social media, meet the WCAG 2.1, level AA standards. This now also includes password-protected content.
Since this was announced, stakeholders across Boise State University have been collaborating to develop a plan that will ensure we achieve these important accessibility goals, and support our campus community along the way.
While we will provide more detailed information, timelines, resources, and guidance in the coming months, we wanted to share a preliminary, institutional timeline so you can see where things are headed.
