Tomorrow from 3:00-4:00 pm there will be an open forum to answer questions regarding a proposed new policy: the Faculty Code of Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct. This forum will be in-person at the Alumni & Friends Center in room 209. The committee wants to ensure that faculty members have multiple opportunities to provide feedback and to understand the policy, so they hope faculty and academic leaders will engage in this important part of shared governance.
Tuesday’s forum is one of four sessions the committee is offering to answer questions and receive feedback prior to taking this policy to the Faculty Senate in April:
- 3/29 @ 3:00 pm in the Alumni & Friends Center, room 209
- 4/1 @ 10:00 am virtually (registration required–see calendar invitation)
- 4/5 @ 3:00 pm virtually (registration required–see calendar invitation)
- 4/7 @ 10:00 am in the SUB Alexander Room
View the Faculty Code Policy Cover Sheet (which includes the reasoning behind this code including some of the history), Faculty Code Policy Draft, and the Faculty Code Diagram. The Code is divided into several sections that cover the various aspects of faculty work. Faculty may provide feedback during the forums and/or on this form.
