Probation Advising Hold

The Academic Development and Recovery (ADR) team manages the Probation Advising Required (RPA) Hold which prevents registration. Click on the hold in your Student Center to determine the steps you need to complete to have the hold removed. Reasons could include the following:

  • Academic Probation: You must complete the online probation workshop, Bronco Rebound, located in Canvas.
  • Academic Reinstatement: You must meet with an ADR advisor to complete the reinstatement advising process.
  • Reinstatement Second Appointment: You must meet with your ADR advisor for your mid-semester check-in appointment if you have been reinstated once, or you must complete the ACAD 102 course or three academic coaching sessions if you have been reinstated two or more times.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Hold

Students on academic probation may see a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) hold on their account. This hold restricts your Federal financial aid eligibility but does not prevent you from enrolling. If you believe you have extenuating circumstances, you are able to file an appeal with the Financial Aid Office

SAP Holds

  1. GPA
  2. PACE
  3. Maximum Time

If you fail to meet any of these standards, you will see a SAP Hold on your Student Center. This hold will not prevent registration, but it will prevent you from receiving federal financial aid.

ADR advisors can assist students in submitting an appeal to the Financial Aid Office to request their eligibility for federal financial aid to be restored. There is no guarantee that the appeal will be approved.
